Hindu here,
Both are different stories.
Krishana was carried by his biological father after his biological mother gave birth to him in a prison cell operated by his uncle.
His uncle was in a killing spree and killed few of krishna's new born brother and sister.
So his father carried him on a basket across a river and placed him near a rich lords house..
Due to Krishna being reincarnation form of Bhagvan Vishnu his father cross the river.

So this story and the other story have nothing in common only the river part is common.

I saw every one in comment saying that Even if Hinduism existed 6k years before it isn't necessarily that every hindu story existed 6k years ago.
Actually yes this is one of the major stories in Hinduism and Krishna is linked to another Grand Scripture Mahabharat These two with Gita and Ramayana are dated back around 5000 to 6000 year before.

The krishna story not only comes in bhagwata purana but it comes in almost all of the vadic scriptures and almost many upanishads.
And secomd thing is the oldest manuscript of bhagwat purana are been burned in 6th century conquest
Few of them are survived till 19th century but unfortunately again in December 21, 1927 dalit outbreaks destroys many many precious old manuscripts . Now the oldest half burned manuscripts of bhagwat puran which survived datets back to 6th century.
Few parts of the manuscripts of bhagwat puran and mahabharat are lost and only god knows what was written in those chapters 😔
For example yoni tantra is one of the hindu scriptures which had 10 chapters in total of that book but only 7 of them are survived 8th chapter is half burned and other last 2 chapters are completely lost .

People say Hinduism is 6000 years old and then forget that old Hinduism had entirely different Gods and theology it was an Indo European religion while new Hinduism was a mix of tribal beliefs and old beliefs with new Gods.
