Jesus vs. Krishna

Was Jesus based on the Hindu god Krishna? Many on the internet seem to think so, and this video addresses this claim.

As someone who's familiar with Mahabharat, I can tell you that Krishna and Jesus are not remotely the same

Who said krishna was born of a virgin?? He was born to Devaki, the wife of vasudev. U can read it in the ancient scriptures

The name "Arjuna" definitely does not translate to "John"!

The Hindu name Arjuna which means white, bright, shining, lustrous, etc. comes from Indo-European and is a cognate with the Latin word Argentum, where we get the symbol for silver in the periodic table, Ag. The name John is totally foreign to Indo-European languages and has no connection to Arjuna.

It's not Krishna himself that will return on a white horse, but the transcendent God that he's an immanent avatar of, Vishnu. This is known as the Kalki avatar.

90% of the comments here completely missed the point of the video. The narrator here is not debunking Krishna, he's debunking christ-mythers who say that Jesus was fake because his story was similar to other gods before him, apparently Krishna is in the list. Again please watch the full video.

I'm not an expert on this by any means. But man, I've been reading some of the old Krishna stories just recently, and I never would've thought there was any similarity to Jesus. That's really grasping at straws in my opinion.

Once you read at least a little about Krishna's teachings and pastimes, you would be a sad stupid person if you think that one was stolen from the other. There are oceans of difference between them. Besides, Krishna's teachings are based on Knowledge that India has been spreading since thousands of years before Christ. Vedic spirituality is so rich, mature, deep and ancient that it has never had to steal anything from any other culture.
