Was Jesus based on the Egyptian god Horus? Many on the internet seem to think so, and this video addresses this claim.

It would be pretty hard for Horus to have been crucified since crucifixion wasn't even invented at that time.

Isis being a virgin threw me because i thought her and Osiris were one of the most famous mythology romances

I can’t stress enough how much educated and rational people like Michael are needed these days.

Anyone who even remotely knows about Horus, knows that his story is nothing like Jesus.

As an atheist, I too am tired of hearing the Horus argument. It took less than 15 minutes of research to determine several of the Jesus/Horus correlations you mention were incorrect....which brought them all into question. Appreciate this video and hope other atheists do the research themselves before regurgitating this argument.

I thought it's gonna be like a Playstation game fight showing energy level of both the God's at the top corners

I’m good at proofs too. E.g. The Hulk was based on Rumple Stiltskin:
1. They both eat only french toast
2. They both play basketball
3. Neither of them ever saw the ocean and openly regret it, especially in lengthy poems on orange paper mailed to their confused neighbor.
Boom 🙌

I remember hearing about this while watching Zeitgeist. I paused the video and quickly googled it, only to find out that there was no evidence for any of the claims made in the Zeitgeist movie. It only took 30 seconds to discover that the whole film was anti-christian lies with no basis in reality. Yet millions of people just lapped this up as if it were true, because people these days are so quick to jump on the anti-christian bandwagon.

These non believers really try hard to discredit the existence of Jesus. It’s pretty sad really.

This has been debunked thoroughly many, many times. I roll my eyes anytime someone brings up a "Horus Connection" to Jesus. Nice video though.

All of this nonsense came from Gerald Massey, Who is an occultist and self tight Egyptologist, Who is universally rejected by Egyptologists.

Check out the Egyptian Calendar :) Horus was supposedly born on the third of the five epagomenal days at the end of the year, at the flooding of the Nile in the Summer. So nowhere near the winter! Good video.

I found this interesting, I never equated Horus to Jesus (as I have looked into Ancient Egypt and the Kemetic Faith as a deep seeded interest for a while now). There are motifs of other parts of the religion that link the others) to Kemet but this certainly wasn't one, and I'm glad I never actually heard of these misconceptions before this video but I try to verify my sources are accurate as unbiased as possible. I'm still learning a lot about it from the hundreds of books on the subject and a lot of it is up to personal interpretation but I do appreciate videos like this that kind of debunk things or bring evidence to the light.
