Every other type of extreme sports excites the heck out of me, I freaking love it, but just watching Alex (or any other climber) doing free solo terrifies me to death.

It's weird but climbing is like a drug. The exhilaration that you get when you conquer a climb is hard to describe. But to free solo... that's a whole another level of crazy.

In France we have this guy, Alain Robert still alive and old now, and keeps doing it.

The guy is insane, he fell once and was left kinda fucked up, he adapted his technique so he could continue his art.

They are one of the most unique people in this planet.

How many people are able to do the same? How many have done it since the inception of mankind?

We are lucky to witness such marvel I'm telling you.

He is still alive by the way, his just 40 and he stop free soloing because his wife convinced him to stop when his daughter was trying to free solo too. Nothing can stop a man but their love for their family.
