This has to be the biggest human achievement ever. Like walking over death for 4 hours. Tell me someting similar in risk to this. The shivers down the spine just watching, the anxiety. It's just unbelievable.

He takes his time to look down . hold himself with one hand and then make a split at 2500 feet with no hooks or safety rope. He was climbing for about 3 hours before the boulder problem. Respect !!

Could watch Free Solo a thousand times and i would still get sweaty hands. Alex Honnold is just unbelievable. Hope he will be able to enjoy a lot more years doing what he loves.

Alex Honnold set up this route at Vauxwall climbing gym in London (one of my local gyms). I’ve tried it multiple times and this video really doesn’t show just how hard this problem is. It’s one of the most difficult boulders in the gym, the hand holds are tiny and it takes a huge amount of strength just to keep your hips close to the wall… The fact he did this half way up El Capitan… Alex Honnold just makes this look shockingly easy.
