I usually glue the gasket to the removable part ( ur situation - valve cover.) Then u know it will stay in place.

Love those dual cannons had a pair of polished stainless on my old beach buggy the noise was amazing had an issue with standard aftermarket rocker covers and oil leaking pretty badly on my buggy put empi billet ones on and it cured the problem

Nice work!! Couple questions:
Is that a secondary oil cooler above the engine on the frame?
Isn't it a risky location for the oil filter, so low and exposed?
