No Mans Sky GALAXIES EXPLAINED | BEGINNER Tips

In "No Man's Sky," the game is set in a procedurally generated universe with multiple galaxies to explore. At the beginning of the game, players start in the Euclid galaxy, which is the default starting point for all players. However, as you progress through the game, you have the opportunity to reach the center of the galaxy and move on to the next one.

Beyond the Euclid galaxy, there are several other galaxies that players can travel to, each with its own unique characteristics. Some of the notable galaxies include:

Hilbert Dimension: This is the second galaxy in the game and has a different set of planets and systems to explore.

Calypso: Known for its extreme and hostile environments, Calypso poses greater challenges to players.

Hesperius Dimension: It is known for its larger number of lush and beautiful planets compared to other galaxies.

Hyades: This galaxy is known for having a higher density of yellow star systems, offering a different visual experience.

Ickjamatew: This galaxy is characterized by its higher density of red star systems, which often contain exotic and valuable resources.

These are just a few examples, and there are many more galaxies in the game for players to discover. Each galaxy brings a different set of challenges, resources, and opportunities for exploration. It's worth noting that traveling to a new galaxy requires reaching the center of the current galaxy, which can be a significant undertaking in terms of gameplay and progression.

250 galaxies and most of us will never leave Euclid because were chasing 3 dot systems trying to find that perfect ship that isn't blue, green, and pink.

They should add like an abyssal galaxy that's jam packed with abyssal horrors and like 95% water planets

That moment when: you realize the "story" of NMS is almost a meta-narrative of the game and company's journey from 2016 to now.

You can have 400 base computers per save file. You can have 1 base in every galaxy pretty much with a lot of bases to spare.

I actually like bringing my main ship and tool to a new galaxy and then repairing everything without using kits. Gives you something to do while you explore and doesn't take too long. You can just summon your freighter with all your goodies stored in there and you usually have everything you need.

Thanks for sharing! I was wanting to leave the starter galaxy but didn’t out of fear of losing everything. Now I know how do manage that. Liked and sub’d

I have bases in each of the four galaxy types, Normal, Lush, Empty, and Harsh. Calypso is a harsh galaxy. I also recently got a base in galaxy 256, Odyalutai.

Miss you Xxiou, that same background music he played, his soothing voice on top of it, loved watching him. RIP Xxiou Games. If Xxiou was alive now, he would be loving the new procedural overhaul space stations.

Currently in the 31st galaxy “Maupenzhay”. It’s extremely fun swapping galaxies even thou you don’t get anything lol

After months of not touching grass or seeing the sunlight. I have a base computer at a portal in each Galaxy. All 256

One tip for going to the centercore.

Taka off all your exosuite upgrades
Take a c ship that has only the bare minimum
And do the same with your multitool.

Uninstalled upgrades in your normale inventory doesnt brake.

Yes uninstall and reinstall your exosuit stuff is a time consuming thing bud a lot cheaper than repear everything.

Hi new player on the switch here. Thanks for the video, I didn't know each galaxy had slightly different prominent themes. I've only been to Eissentam through the featured bases in the portal, and I'm looking forward to someday crossing over into a 'weird' one. Cheers.

There are actually way more Galaxies, there is 256, 257 and there was a 258 as well as negative galaxies. You can't get to any of those through untricky means. You have to glitch to them, visit a friend who is already there, or save edit your way there. 258 you can't get to period anymore. But there are of Negative Galaxies, 256 and 257 :)

So far I am in 2 galaxies of Euclid and Eissentam. And setup bases on many worlds where I can jump between galaxies. I think need to try for a third, perhaps use the portal shortcut mentioned here to use the first glyph.

Just stared playing this game for about 100 hours. And OMG. I just heard yesterday there's two hundred and fifty plus galaxies and I'm like are you kidding me. Most people aren't going to be able to find all the places in the first Galaxy LOL I wonder how many of these Galaxies have never had a player in it yet?

There should be an easier way to travel between galaxies after you get out of Euclid, like maybe a portal to difrent galaxies but only when you leave Euclid

Very helpful thank you I heard end of story which I’m currently working through this happend but wasn’t sure where to go guess I’ll be living in Eissentam end of story then. Just got into NMS properly after Elite let everyone down on Series X really enjoying it and have a lot more trust in Hello Games than Frontiers shambles.
