Although I'm not in a position where I can monetarily contribute now (broke college student in a third world country), I'd like to express my gratitude for your tutorials! If not for them, I'd have given up on FreeCAD and now I've fallen in love with the software! Thank you sincerely, wish you the best.

This tutorial helped me a lot with two major problems I had with FC interface; first, the compound body option, I had some hard times with extrusions that had to connect with the main body, and the cross section view. It really pays to watch tutorials on new software even if you are very familiar with the exercise subject! Thank you so much.

Some of the finest Freecad tutorials online, I just subscribed, thank you man!

Do you plan to show us your workflow for top-down design, in which you import some supplier parts like motors and design multibody parts around them like motor mount pulley and so on?

Because in my experience Freecad has always been ok for part design, but when you need multiple parts like in a real product and company setting, things get complicated. I have yet to seen a tutorial like this on the entire youtube

Thank you very much. I Iearned a lot:
- Pocket/Pad "up to face"
- how to create a datum plane (Line, point, change Attachement Mode to "Normal to edge")
- Body - Experimental: allow Compound = true
- create Point on a line can snapping to the mindpoint
You can create the 20mm holes by selecting a circle of the cylinders and add a hole of 20mm trough all. (It's a pitty, that it is only posible with circles and not also with arcs (from fillet) and that the holes have to be in one plane) (otherwise all the 4mm holes could be added with one operation)

Great tutorial ! I am starting out on FreeCad while having 35 years of CAD/CAD practice on Siemens NX and other software. I appreciate your logic pedagogy to introduce me to FreeCad. Currently, I use Autodesks Fusion but this new version of FreeCad seems to me to be more accomplished. I'm looking for a tutorial on creating variables.

Beginner here but it seems for "constrain symmetric" @11:33 and @15:30 you must select the outside (Left and right and probably up and down) then the center constraining point.
The 11:33 you did and it worked, the 15:30 they were selected in a row L2R and it jumped to the right.

Great series of tutorials with a mixture of easy and complex actions. Do you plan to create tutorials on TechDraw and Assemblies?

Happy New Year and thank for your effort. You can put a link to the file with drawing used by you in tutorials, to work with this (draft/sketch) after we see your tutorial video?

Even though the tutorial is excellent, there is a lot missing here. The most important thing for newcomer is to "learn general strategic thinking" prior to starting actual construction of part. In other words, what flashes trough your head, when you see the part drawing! Decision making and reasoning of how you approach the construction and why this way and not some other
Further you color scheme is really bad. The menus are many times almost invisible and it is very hard on your eyes.
But the best part of your demo was(for me) the discovery of Foxit Reader. I did not know about its existence and I really appreciate the fact you let us know. It is much better then what I was using till today!....Thank again! Keep on creating more, but improved!

Bonjour, à 8:20 le plan de référence est à 50 mm et non à 40mm. Je pense que l’erreur est sur la côte car mon rendu est plus haut que le vôtre... Super tutoriel, merci, je vais voir les autres...

Hello bro. Is this also for cnc mill machinist ? If yes are you a machinist ? If yes could you show how to convert the parts to gcode ?

i finished this friend. using the fillet centerpoints as the constraints for the circles on step 5 confused me for a moment.

Está muito bom, só.acho que deveria fazer o desenho e selecionar a área que deseja extrudar, assim eliminaria o passo que acontece em 7:15

I followed you sketch perfectly, but when I went from sketcher to Part Design to pad it, It gave me an error, Cannot use selected object. Selected object must belong to the active body. Any Idea what I'm doing wrong. I don't see where to change from sketcher to Part Design.
Thank you
Butch
