I started learning English when I was 14 through internet and tv and now I'm 18 and I'm Indian but my accent in like a native American. Everyone get shocked when they hear my accent. Learning English made me confident and now I'm going to pursue Korean language. I realized that Learning never stops so everyone keep going and just pursue what makes you happy:)

As a native English speaker, I understand that “having the blues” means you’re melancholic or even depressed. I feel that I should caution non-native speakers from asking someone or referring to someone as “have the blues” because it can sound dismissive of how they really feel.

As a native English speaker, I've also noticed a generational gap when it comes to use of idioms. The elderly seem to use different expressions than the young. For example, I've never heard anyone under 50 say "paint the town red". Us Millennials seem to use metaphors more than expressions or sayings. Slang is an interesting thing.

The idiom 'white lie' can directly translate to 'सफ़ेद झूठ' in Hindi, which means the exact same thing
