Hello, I'm a native English speaker. "I have the blues" is sort of an outdated phrase that most people don't really say, at least in my experience. It is not incorrect at all, though. But "I'm sad" or "I'm upset" or "I'm bummed" or "I'm feeling down" or, if it's really bad, "I'm depressed" are all used more regularly.

"I have the blues" is a very casual and old way of saying I'm sad. It's not elegant or with the times, but it's great to use with confidence as it makes your personality seem friendly/down to earth/old
