That knot is called a flying half-tangle. My wife uses that knot all the time.

Subscribed within the first minute of watching this video because both of you are so unpretentious. Am in the process of buying a boathouse and my family and I are so excited to live on it after selling our house.

I'm with you on the Boat Units. We are restoring a 1967 Grand Banks 36. We've been through a number of Boat Units since we bought her in July.

Tie a clove hitch then throw a half-hitch backup; won't move.

We are buying a trawler this Friday for a liveaboard. We cannot wait! We love to travel and now it come reality! Thank you for the video. Our boat will be mostly in brackish water or freshwater. We will sometimes in salt water, but not a lot though

It’s funny you said queen bed! Our first boat we bought, 1988 Chris Craft 381 and it has a king size bed. As our 3 kids are getting older, we started looking at maybe going bigger but it’s hard to find boats with king size beds. I feel the boat is not real sporty looking, but the boat has so much comfort room aboard.

So fun watching y’all and Tom there is a light at the end of the tunnel on that “leave aboard” morning suit cycle.

Shes a pretty, older thing, and most are very expensive, unpredictable and dangerous...on the other hand, your boat is fabulous, beautiful and will return reliability with what you put into it.Goodluck.

I'm considering this as a singleton simply because it is a more affordable option than home buying. I'm very low budget though (under 50k), and a complete boat novice. So finding a slip that has come to you pump out will be a need. I've lived in a 23 foot skoolie for the last four years, so small living isn't an issue. I plan on fresh water, river or lake, though. My next step is learning the upkeep charges for things I can't do myself!
Really like the channel, will stay tuned :)
