This has nothing to do with a parallel universe, but maybe a past life. Lately, I've been having literal flashbacks of things that never happened in my life. It's not a daydream or anything like that, because I feel, smell, see & hear the voices around me & have real memories of these events. I could never really explain it, so the only person in my personal life who I've talked to about this is my husband. I find myself crying from traumas that aren't mine or missing people I don't know personally. someone can explain it for me.

I guess I have to share mine. I was in grade 4 and a new kid came along in a different class. Recess is when we first met. We practically bumped into each other and there was this slight pause and shock and we both said each other’s name at the same time (exactly like that Spiderman meme) as if we have always known each other. The thing is, neither as us actually do. She just came from Mexico so there was no way. We are still really close friends till this day and we still talk about how we met and how wild it was.

i have a kind of off topic story about the lady that got paralysed after seeing the dress up party. i am malaysian and we are a chinese buddhist family, so there is some superstition involved. my grandparents when they were young were on a date, it was midnight when they were strolling back home and my grandpa saw a party on a street corner going on. they were dressed in vintage clothing so he thought it was a cool costume thing so he tells my grandma "oh hey! look at that cool party!". immediately my grandma was like "GO HOME DON'T LOOK AT THEM". basically my grandma believed they were spirits gathering. this is because they saw the party during the 8th month on the lunar calendar, which many southeast asian chinese people believe is ghost month, and you have to avoid eery places and pray to make sure you don't disrespect the ghosts when they come out to hang out.

i try not to mix the spiritual part and scientific part of me though, i am someone who enjoys historical and mathematical reviews of these sort of topics like stephen hawking's books, i don't love crazy conspiracy theories but its interesting to see culture play a part in ideas of parallel universe or other beings, especially being malaysian

the badminton story yall talk about sounds like the anime “rascal does not dream of bunny girl senpai” its about this girl who was a famous actress but she step down from showbiz due to overwhelming exposure and stress (since shes a child actor) but now she develop this “puberty syndrome” and now she is physically invisible from others, people also were like umm? who? was there even an actress with that name? ofc theres a guy who still remembers her but would eventually forget about her, , they also talk about the schrodinger cat experiment too
