I've installed these ceramic pads from akebono due to your suggestion 10 months ago. I must say these are the best pads I've ever seen! They are silent, dustfree, and they have amazing breaking capacity! The oem pads left so much dust, my wheels and calipers were always disgustingly dirty. Thanks for the tip!

The Akebono pads I installed onto my 2000 Toyota Tacoma with Brembo rotors (ordinary discs without drilled holes or slots) drastically improved brake pedal feel on the first drive. The pads are also made in USA.

Scotty is like the handy, knowledgeable uncle I wished I had. The fact that he walks, shares, teaches, and fixes in my hometown of Houston, let's me know I can sleep comfortably at night.

I need some new brake pads and I was just trying to decide on what type to get. Ceramic brake pads are my choice. Thanks Scotty.

Because of this suggestion by SK, I put Akebono brake pads (and new rotors) on the front of my 98 ranger about 3-4 months ago. These are the best brakes I've ever installed in 30+ yrs of working on my own cars! No dusting and they feel significantly better / firmer than the stock brakes ever did. (I completely disassemble, grease pins, & 100% flush fluid each time I do brakes. I also do the proper bedding procedure). I have an 03 Jag S-Type and will do the same to it next summer.

Thank you Scotty. I was just talking to my son about brake pads and he asked me about ceramic vs non metallic and I did not know the difference. Now I can show him your video. 2010 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor

Scotty, I put ceramic pads on my car, and was swarmed by a flock of angry bats!
Luckily I was able to stop safely and quickly and then diverolled into an effluent holding pond until the bats' anger abated.
Thanks!!

Stay gold.

Akebono pads are by far the best pads (for Toyota /Lexus specifically) as a former 17 year A.S.E. certified technician, that's all we would use. Also we almost never had to warranty a set, since our brake service consisted of new rotors, and new akebono pads. The best braking experience hands down (because they're oem +spec!)

It seems the better the brake performance is the more money you'll need.

I tried a tree lately- incredible stopping power but horrible on your wallet.

I no doubt missed the "contest" mentioned in this video, but I gotta say... This is one of the best, most informative videos I've seen on YouTube in a long, long time. Right to the point; no deadwood information; creative; humorous. Just a great communicator. I'd like to give this guy one of my sermons and have him preach for me on Sunday morning!

I actually used these on my car after a set of the worst brakes I've ever had from the auto parts store, they were hard to find online but advanced auto had them, they are awesome! No noise not a peep. Thank you so much you really helped us so much Scotty I bet these last forever
