Really like PowerStop pads. I like Z23's for my Corvette because I never track my car. A tech-rep said the Z23 would have the least chance of squealing.

The Z26 has the fancy stainless steel backing for slightly better heat dissipation where the Z23 does not.

Looks like they're basically the same otherwise. Probably come off the exact same line, but the Z26 goes through the extra step of having the stainless steel shim added to it, thus the extra $2.

Daily vs street and heat dissipation? Basically same stopping power... but heat dissipation makes the difference.

One has stainless steel backing plates the other don't and you pay dearly for that.

I would not recommend buying Power Stop products. Both front calipers locked up in just under 2 years and when I contacted their customer service department all I got was “sorry they are out of warranty”. If my product failed in that short of time, I would want it back for research purposes unless I already knew I was selling a subpar product.
