1. Run easy. It is healthier, will keep you from most injuries and will make it enjoyable.
2. Run in the morning. If you have busy life morning run will have less chance of getting intruded upon by your life. If you run in a hot climate it is way easier to run before it gets hot. If you live in a cold or temperate climate you should think about buying clothes for every possible weather and learn how/when to use them to make yourself comfortable. I made notes after the run (temp/humidity/wind -> how I felt) until I learned what clothes to wear depending on exact weather to maximise my comfort.
3. Run every day and learn habit chaining. Habit chaining means doing to things always together and in the same order until it becomes a habit and you don't need to think about it anymore. I have a morning routine that 9 times out of 10 is exactly the same: wake up, empty myself, weigh myself, check the temperature outside, change into running clothes, do my run, listen to some news while making and drinking coffee, shower, then make another coffee. When you have a routine like that it is much easier to stick to running because our brains really, really like to follow routines.

You only need 2 things: to like what you do and be disciplined about it. Kipchoge said that you do what is right and not how you feel. That is discipline at its finest

Hey there! I enjoy running and I feel much better. I am now running up to 2 1/2 hours and use your scheduling for 40 miles a week. I would like to get faster but I am not interested in races. I have done some virtual runs and have signed up to run 2000 miles in 2020 that starts Jan. 1. Can you lead me to your best videos for increasing my speed? Thank you
