I've been playing Viper since Beta with 5k+ hours on her, I know lineups for every single site and plat spot, Always use my lineups, and always clutches the win the round no matter the rank is, played against Silvers all the the way up to Asc and immortals in a 5v5 and still very effective in stalling the defuse.
If lineups are a thing and used it the game, that means they are effective.

so heres the thing with lineups idc who u play who has lineups the basics are think before you go for the lineup and communicate with your team when you wanna go for them so your team doesnt fight for the post plant

also lets say 4 of your teammates are alive why in the actual shit would you go for lineups help your teammates on site because as a 5 man team you can hold down site and if you feel like you rely on your lineups too much stop going for them entirely you've fallen too far especially in an fps you shouldnt rely on utility.

lineups are only good if they were communicated before the round/if only 2 of you are alive and you need something to delay the defusal a little bit longer so you 2 can somehow clutch up which you can also do by winning the gunfights but the win con is the spike in this case so you hold off the defenders for long enough so you can win by playing time

now lets look at it if 4 of you were alive you lost your duelist on entry and theres 3 defenders trying to retake right if you were to play lineups here you would first of all give the 3 defenders a much better chance of retaking as theres a 3v3 going on but if you were there with your team it would be a 4v3 if you play numbers in this case you win you dont even have to go for the spike exploding

that being said lineups arent bad but know when to use them and if its useful for you to leave your team on site alone and dont forget to communicate that you wanna play your lineups and the most important part of all have a great day and thank you for reading this long ass explanation. ♥

Lineups are not bad but spending countless hours on learning lineups doesnot worth it
If I spend those hours to get better aim instead of learning lineups are effective
I dont say that lineups are bad but we should not waste those hours
