TCL Q7 2023 4K 120hz TV review!

This black Friday you can find this tv for $449.00 & that's a steal. It does 4K 120hz plus 4K 60hz Dolby Vision gaming. I love the bright colors in HDR10 mode plus it's Gaming setup is top notch & THX certified. TCL steal needs to update the AMD FreeSync it can be a bit jumping when games to stick to a 120hz signal & is dropping all over the place, but that's a once in a whole thing. Q7 owner here. The flicker on the menu's is from vrr/freesync. I play MW3 on PC and it does it too. The fix is too set vsync to half only for menu's. At 4:30, you can see the hertz bouncing around like crazy which is causing an issue with the pulse width modulation of the panel. You can either disable vrr/freesync or lock the menu to half in game settings which is 60 of the 120 hz panel. This only occurs in game menu's (mw3 isn't the only game this happens on). When you're actually in a match, the flicker doesn't happen.

Thanks im getting this. I have a tcl 55 inch from 2019 and wont do 120hz on 4k. Gonna give that one to my inlaws and get this one

Just. Heads up I bought a Nintendo Switch for black friday & you have to manually turn on GameMode cuz the Switch dont have HDR or VRR so the TV dont know its a game console. Same thing with the Xbox I put color to 60 & warm/cold to Normal. Left everything else the same! I might make a new video, but trust me the Switch at 1080p 60hz looks beautiful on this tv. I also put it in HDMI 2 outlet.

One thing about the TV out of the box is you do have to let that process or cook for a bit. Things will get smoother

Hdmi 1 is 4k/144hz and hdmi 2 is 4k/120hz. I guess hdmi 2 is for console ? since the xbox serie x only support 120hz
