Josh has undergone one of the most legendary character developments. From shouting and loudly ranting about stuff he doesn’t like to calmly (for the most part) criticizing it.

No ink lemonade? It has all three of the biggest issues with modern SpongeBob in one episode: Gross-out humor, Patrick being a jerk, and Squidward getting tortured.

As awful as A Pal For Gary is, One Coarse Meal actually had Plankton try to commit suicide by getting run over. Yes, that is without exaggeration what happens. A kid's show has an episode where, after two weeks of psychological torture, a character legitimately tries to commit suicide as a plot point. And after hearing that Plankton is laying in the road to try and get run over, Krabs just laughs at that. That goes beyond mean-spirited into downright malicious evil, and he doesn't face any real consequences for it

One episode I always hated was "The sponge who could fly". In this episode spongebob just gets bullied by the entire town, and when he tried to stand up for himself, he got chased of a cliff. This is followed by spongebob discovering how to fly, and the people of bikini bottom decide to take full advantage of spongebob. The only good part of this episode are the two Patchy segments at the beginning and end.

I do like the twist at the end of "I'm with Stupid". Patrick being stupid enough to forget what his parents look like is believable, but the fake parents forgetting that they don't have a son and they shouldn't know who Patrick is is so absurd it's hilarious.

I watched 'Stuck in the Wringer' when I was a kid, and there's one line I've never forgotten:
Patrick - "You ruined my ice cream!"
Spongebob - "YOU RUINED MY LIFE!"
Even as a kid, I was annoyed at everyone siding with Patrick afterwards. I mean, how didn't I *hate* that episode?

The only part I liked about the doorbell scene in "Pet or Pests" was the line Spongebob saying: *"Good morning, Mrs. Puff"*

Mrs Puff: *"It almost was"* 😂

19:34 I liked the part where the guy said “let’s go see what this fat guy is talking about” when krabs built the 1 penny theatre

A lot of people have declared SpongeBob season 6 and 7 as the “gross out era” of SpongeBob, so episodes like “SpongeBob’s Bad Habit” are quite disappointing since it shows me that the staff keeps falling back into bad habits themselves.

What really gets me about the episode “Pets or Pests?” is that worms are consistently portrayed as dogs throughout the series, and yet Larry the lobster considers eating them anyway, which is mildly disturbing.

And in “Face Freeze, ” SpongeBob and Patrick willingly go around scaring people with their gross faces, which feels very out of character. When they bother people, even in bad episodes like “Good Neighbors, ” it’s usually due to their own ignorance.

When Patrick eats a concert ticket and sea monkeys for no reason, he clearly has a problem.

To be honest, I kinda liked whatever happened to spongebob. The start wasnt very good but the rest of the episode was actually pretty good to me. Like you said, seeing spongebob outside of bikini bottom was really refreshing and i liked the concept of the gang. I think that an episode about spongebob going back to shell city, if done right, could be really good.

I always didn’t like how they made Patrick insufferable after the later seasons. He used to be an amusing and cute character, and he actually did frequently display certain moments of intelligence

I am still really disappointed that you didn’t include Squid Baby. While episodes like Choir Boys or One Coarse Meal makes me sad or angry, Squid Baby pretty much activates my fight-or-flight response. Squid Baby is pretty much just the writers’ barely disguised fetish. Also, Jem Reviews described it best. “It feels like I’m watching something I shouldn’t be watching.”

An odd thing about “Pets or Pests” is Larry the Lobster appears and doesn’t seem to know SpongeBob.

I always thought that the fish ran away from “Morbid Spongebob” not because he looked gross, but because he had a snot bubble, since New Kelp City citizens were terrified of bubbles because of the gang. It makes me wonder if the animators were TRYING to make him look kinda gross, or if it was completely unintentional.

I'm surprised Ink Lemonade wasn't mentioned, that is an episode that makes me both physically and mentally ill just from thinking about it.

One episode I'd deem number 1 most hated is Ink Lemonade, where Patrick scares the living daylights out of Squidward to use his Ink as "Black Lemonade". In one scene, he builds a house of horrors that features Squidward's worst nightmare: working at the Krusty Krab until he's a senior citizen; that alone shows that Patrick is intelligent enough to know what he's doing, and doesn't care that it's wrong. Spongebob ain't no better either, and neither get any comeuppance in the end.

I also hated the episode where Plankton wears Sandy’s skin, and the one where Spongebob inflates his pants to fly

I like to imagine that if gene from wreck it Ralph was in stuck in the wringer, he would totally defend SpongeBob.
