Say what you want about the worst Spongebob episodes, at least they're not even close to the worst TV shows like Velma or Fairview

"Are You Happy Now?" is actually a good depiction of depression, easy for kids to understand and for adults to relate to. And it was the first time SpongeBob had shown some sensitivity towards Squidard's need for privacy.

Finally someone who actually likes Night Light, I thought it was a fast-paced and entertaining episode

I don’t get why people hate on "Are you Happy Now" so much. It’s a pretty good depiction of depression for a kids show. A lot of the hate probably comes from the Squidward sewer slide jokes but as somebody that enjoys dark humor it never bothered me

The real reason people hated the episode Karate Island was because in November 2006, Nickelodeon aired a 24 hour marathon of the top 100 best spongebob episodes. However this marathon ended up being controversial as most of the best episodes on the list were mostly from season 4 while fan favourite episodes were either low on the list or not there at all. The number 1 winner on the top 100 24 hour marathon was revealed to be Karate Island. This is what caused people to hate this episode. I think Karate Island is a good episode but its definitely not the best ever episode of spongebob. That would be would Band Geeks!

"Wormy" may have been terrifying to me as a kid, but as an adult, it has grown into something classic and even fascinating. It's important to consider that as sea creatures like Spongebob, Patrick, and co. have never learned about the classic life cycle from caterpillar to butterfly; therefore, this change is what causes terror. The end also plays on themes of hysteria in a hilarious manner.

As someone who grew up with a parent who watched a lot of HGTV, I really appreciated the parody of those shows in House Fancy. Looking past the toe scene, there’s also a nice subversion of spongebob screwing up actually working for squidward’s benefit

By this point, I just want to see the process that these people who run this Scumbob Wiki go through when writing why a SpongeBob episode is infamous.

The town's reaction to the butterfly was actually understandable, butterflies drink the sweat and blood of reptiles, and some kinds of butterflies even human sweat.

Thank you for that Are You Happy Now defense. It's such a misunderstood gem that deserves so much better. It's probably the most realistic SpongeBob episode I have ever seen with the way it tackles themes of depression and I love how things take a turn with SpongeBob actually being compassionate to Squidward. It's one of the deepest, most mature, and most profound SpongeBob episodes. I'm gonna go as far as saying it's the best post-movie SpongeBob episode (specifically out of all the episodes from seasons 5-9). And yes, I prefer it over Sandcastles in the Sand unpopular opinion.

“Wormy” used to be an episode I was afraid of. Nowadays, it’s one of my favorite and most funniest 😂

You see why I enjoy watching your content. Not only your voice is so calm, but also you're the "healthy" type of critic who respectfully point out each flaw in a constrctive manner, while still looking at the redeeming factors as well.

I wasn't a fan of Night Light either, but that part where Patrick gets dried by light and yells "MORE LIGHT!" was unironically funny.

For me it’s Spongebob, You’re Fired. I never cared for the plot, but I enjoyed the different scenery and seeing the different food get made.

I can understand why house fancy is disliked because of the toenail scene, but I still enjoyed the episode. Mainly of how incredible Squilliam's house is.

I actually love I was a Teenage Gary for its horrific atmosphere.

Also, I love your SpongeBob videos!

I think the original suicide attempt jokes in Are You Happy Now could be an attempt to educate kids on suicidal ideation. But it came off as callous jokes because Spongebob Squarepants simply isn't the right show to speak on that topic. It's too cheery and it's target demographic is too young. But it made me think. I glanced at the scars on my arms while watching that segment of this video and thought: How could such dark, heartbreaking topics as depression and suicide be introduced and explained to children in a healthy, nontraumatic way?

The idea of SpongeBob going a bit over the top when faced with a fear seems to be a relatable idea as sometimes in real life when confronted with fear you may go over the top to solve the problem when there could be an easier solution, but you dont see it in the moment due to you trying to solve the issue and personally I would of just left the light on in my room then slowly tried to adjust to sleeping without it on.

i understand why spongehenge is disliked, but man, i personally always loved how oddly dark the episode was, especially how eerie the ending is.
