Most Australian butchers don't carry hanger steak because most Australian butchers barely even carry like 4 different cuts of beef and they don't do any actual butchering themselves, it's all done industrially

Not surprised, most limited cuts have gone up in price. Oxtail used to be free from some butchers. Chicken wings were once half the price of thighs and drums.

I still remember learning about hanger steak while I was in college and being able to get it pretty regularly for my weekend meals. You could always find smaller cuts of it for under $10 at the store and it was freakin delicious!

Top Sirloin Cap, Rump Cap, or popularly Picanha is my favorite. It has a ton of flavor and tender when prepared correctly. Eating it as a regular steak is fantastic.

I was taught at a young age how to take a London Broil cut, and make it the best steak you'll ever have. To this day, I can get POUNDS of London Broil cuts for the same price as two medium-small sirloins.

Flank and Skirt are really good options, really tender and flavorful, you just need to slice it up before you serve it.

Hangar is commonly used for brisket n it’s god damn amazing. Smoking it over a long period of time creates an amazing piece

All steak is good. It mainly depends on how it is prepared. Personally, ribeye and strip are my most favorite cuts.
