Wagyu beef is the most prized beef in the world. A single cow can be sold for up to $30,000. Part of the reason why it's so expensive is due to its exclusivity and increasing demand.

Do you think normal cows look at wagyu cows like they are celebrities

I tried wagyu sashimi recently. I was skeptical, since I’m not generally a big fan of land meat, but I’ll try anything twice. It was amazing. Absolutely buttery, almost dessert-like. I don’t know if I would personally eat an entire steak. It would probably be good, but the experience of savoring just a few slices of raw meat was amazing. I’m glad I let my friend order for us, since I never would have thought to try it myself.

I trimmed and sliced beef tenderloins many moons ago (at one of the biggest meat delivery companies in the US) and anytime we came across a piece of meat like this we weren't allowed to cut it, we had hand it over to our supervisor. I thought it was because nobody wanted to eat meat with so much fat in it 😄. I came across about 10 of these while working there for a year. I still hadn't heard of wagyu meat until a year ago.

I just tried Wagyu steak for the first time yesterday and it was amazing. It was $170 for a 12 ounce steak. This is why I’m looking at this video now because I had to know how this was processed. The best steak I ever had.

There were a few times growing up where my dad would splurge and treat me and my mom to some Kobe beef. I didn’t care much for steak as a kid (I love it now as an adult), but I do remember how rich and tender Kobe beef was. You don’t even need to do much to it as far as seasoning goes, because the meat is so flavorful that adding too much other stuff to it spoils the taste.

The cheapest meat is deer balls, they’re under a buck.

I’ve had A5 Wagyu before, and I had no idea. My dad is an amazing chef, and one night he made two steaks, then asked me which I liked better. The one I liked better was of course the secret wagyu, and I ate some more.

Japan: *makes super high quality beef that took 2 years of careful breeding and care to make*
Americans: *deep fry it*

I think that the US, British and Australian Breeders of High Quality, DNA Certified Wagu is going to drive prices down some. I actually think that it's good because I have a limited budget and I would like to be able to afford to try Wagu personally. Ironically I'm looking at an Arby's Roast Beef Restaurants Sign advertising Wagu Burgars are Back. After watching this Video I'm sure that this is perhaps a combination of various Beef Breeds, but not Authentic Wagu as per this Video which stresses Quality and Strict Diet Control over the Cattle. Thank you for this informative Video, because now I have some knowledge about Wagu Beef

Story time. As a child, my steak was well done with A1 sauce. I didn't know anything different until I was 22 years old. Went to a company function in my honor. Fancy restaurant. I took my wife, as you do. The only option was chicken or steak for the meal. We both picked steak. When it arrived, we cut into it and noticed it was red, what we presumed to be uncooked. We looked around and noticed everyone just eating it up, so we gave it ago. It changed my life. I've not ordered steak well done again. I've even ventured into the dark territories of "Pittsburg Blue". My wisdom I'll impart on you... if you find a place that has certified A5 Wagyu, get it medium. If you're a steak person, like myself these days, you'll be tempted to order rare. DO NOT DO THIS. Wagyu is meant to be served medium. Medium rare at best.

This beef is so nice! If you’ve never had it, you are missing out. It literally is epic. I have one of these steaks a month.
