Paiste makes the best cymbals. I've had Sabian, Zildijan but Paiste is my fav. Whenever I play shows, the opening acts often play my kit. I frequently get compliments on my cymbals.

The dark crisp reflector is a chefs kiss, you can get a lot of action out sound like that.

I've been running my Signature Dark Energy 14" top hat with my Twenty Series 14" Light hats bottom and it sounds incredible!

They all sound nice, but I'm not crazy about the dark energy ones but that purple high hat and the reflector sound the tightest, very, very crisp.

The dark crisp reflectors surprised me. The 602s were the best, of course, but those dark crisp reflectors sound fuckin sweet.

I have the 14" dark energy and I'm not sure I have been able to find a better sounding/feeling pair to date.

It's hard to tell if a hi hat sounds bad or if it's just how you're playing it/doesn't match your kit/doesn't work for your mix. Such a sensitive and expressive part of the drum kit

I didn't even know there was a Dark Crisp Reflector. Just had to look it up on Cymbal Wiki. Why have Paiste discontinued a load of cool models? Typical that this one sounds the best in the video...for my preference anyway!

I have a 17" Signature Reflector crash, which I had to find second hand as guess what...it's a discontinued size. But it's the size I wanted for a main crash and it's perfect. There's a number of other Signature Reflector and Signature Traditionals models I would like to try that are gone now, not to mention the Twenty series that was before my time as a drummer!

I've heard that Paiste do take custom orders and that discontinued models can be ordered that way, but apparently it's quite tricky to make such orders - endorsees would naturally get priority.
