Lenovo Laptop Black Screen after BIOS Update Fix

In this video i will be showing how to solve the black screen issue when bios updating using lenovo vantage goes wrong. Do not download GJCN22WW version of Bios if you havent yet.

I'm not sure if this is going to help anyone, but it worked for me on my Lenovo Legion 7. What I did was, after fumbling around I tried switching from discrete -> dynamic graphics option from the BIOS options menu ( accessible through hitting F1 or/and F2 on bootup). Miraciously it worked, and got to log in to windows. Weirdly enough, I switched back to the discrete graphics option and it worked normally as well.

Hope this helps anyone... Companies should roll out these updates more carefully. I kinda lost my shit because of bugs like that. :)

My problem is that my laptop won’t even turn on, i attempt to turn it on and the power button starts flashing. Cant access bios or anything, just a black screen. If you can help please assist me

F12 does nothing on my Legion Tower 5i. Got the black screen after bios update 11. How are they still pushing out these faulty updates?

Hello, I did a Bios update for a Lenovo laptop model lenovo v15 g2 alc ryzen 5-5500u with the application from the official website, all the instructions on how to load appeared and it got stuck, the package spins and there are 3 lit keys, namely, caps and num are missing, I pressed the Acer reset button, I removed everything from it and it still does the same, I also saw your version on the video, I can't do it :(((

THANK YOU! YOU SAVED ME! Using a Legion 5Pi and I had this issue. I hate that Lenovo would do this, bloody hell. Amateur testing.
I did what you said, of course the other boot option didn't exist/failed to boot, but then it booted normally back to windows! :) :) thanks!!

The screen goes black when trying to enter the bios on Thinkpad T470, this happened after adding a password to the bios. Windows works perfectly. 😢

My friend i was dumb enough to update bios for no reason im a noob.so far laptop has np problems but ive heard some people bricked their machines after update working properly but left it overnight just to find out when they opened it next day that it was bricked.im so stressed im scared really. What are the chances my laptop to brick after functioning properly a day later to brick. Can it brick in a week time?
I dont have back up i only searched and found my curent biod version. If it bricks will the version i captured do anything to save my computer? Or is it deemed corrupted and is in no help? Im stressed i hope my laptop wont brick the morning i wake or some days later or smrhn. Can this happen?

Hello, my computer is a Lenovo ideapad flex 5 and recently we had a problem with the so-called ghost mode. I thought that the BIOS update would help me, but it turned out to be a big mistake. I tried in vain follow this video turned off the pc & then pressed the restart button for 1 min. Sadly the result still remains the same. Could u please help me? I’m really desperate now

When i have boot options i cant chose my hdd or usb device . Just clicked on enter and and nothing happened . I have the black screen only when i try to enter to BIOS . System from hard disk not started . Can i upgrade my bios from USB ? But hmmm bootable Win10 instalation from pendrive not started too . Even when i make fresh win 10 instalation on my private pc an i put hdd to notebook it not worked too
