Quick Clip: Workaround for Blank Screen After Surface Wakes from Sleep

Does your Surface Pro 4 or Surface 3 screen not turn on after sleep or connected standby? In this super short clip, I show that you can hold the Windows Key and press "P" three times to turn on the screen!

Let me know if this solution works for you.

Other things to try:
1. Make sure to tap the power button if this doesn't work, you may have put the Surface back to sleep! An easy way to check if the surface is awake is if the typecover keys are lit.

2. Also try Ctrl + Alt + Delete

3. If all else fails, you can restart the Surface by pressing and holding the power button for 10 seconds.

This also works: hold down the Power button and then press the + volume button. Woke up my Surface Pro 4.

Yeah, experienced this a couple times on my Surface Pro 2. Windows 10 sure has a lot of room for improvement.

or Ctrl+Alt+ Del but all these methods are a huge pain when you don't have type cover readily available.
I would like to see microsoft fix this.

Hello Sean! A blue screen informing that an error occurred has happened to me 2 times in a week. Have any idea on how I can solve that?

hi Everyone. I have one question..do you usually fold your tyoe cover behind your Surface? Instead of detaching it i usually fold it back. Do you think that connections or else can be ruined? I'ts very confy to have it always there when you need it an then fold and continue on surfing just touching the screen. What do you think?
