The Best Electric Car? Kia EV9 Review

The 2024 Kia EV9 electric car is Kia's newest, most generation-defining electric car! Now that I have had the chance to properly test drive one for a week — specifically the Kia EV9 GT-Line AWD trim — I can better tell you it’s unlike any other SUV I’ve driven or seen before, made much better by all the tech it’s packing to make my driving safer and more relaxing. With its angular cuts, flashy looking LED projector lights, and stylish rims, it screams concept everywhere you look — something that rarely translates to a production model.

In this review, I go through the main Kia EV9 features and functions while taking it on an efficiency test to better gauge its electric vehicle performance. Is this one if the best electric cars?

Do you agree with John? Would you spend $70k on the Kia EV9?

I saw you bitching about how much it cost to charge your EV9 on Google. You said that it cost more than filling up your gas car, have you ever filled up your gas car in the middle of nowhere and found out that it cost twice as much as it did filling it up in town? Same situation here, if you charge the EV at your house is going to be considerably less than charging it at a supercharger or EV station. Don’t read more into this than there is… I have owned an EV going on for years and you can count on one hand how many times I’ve used a supercharger. It gets charged at home on economy rate and runs 4 to 6 dollars for 180 miles of range. maybe an EV is not for you, have you thought of that? Stick with gas….

In your article it says you paid $46 to fill it up and that would be more than gas. I disagree. If you had to fill up an suv that size it would cost closer to $60. Telluride has an 18.8 gallon tank which is about the size of this. Good review but just wanted to clarify that

Comparing a Corolla vs a 7 person SUV in not honest. I pay $15 charging at home a month in CA. I have 9.6kw solar and have three Teslas plus use the AC.

Read your article. I'd used DCFC solely for long distance trips.
