What do you think? Is that the whole point of luxury cars in this day and age? We work hard for our money and once in a while I would like to show off. Maybe you would too, but there are a few ways that luxury cars are truly a waste of your hard earned cash. So the question is, is a luxury car worth it or should you go a little more bargain hunter style and pickup a cheap mid-level vehicle to drive?

The only time someone should consider cars like these is if they have put themselves in a financial position where they don't even have to worry about asking the question.
Unfortunately the reason most people buy things like this is to try and keep up with the Joneses or portray a certain kind of image while putting themselves in a shity financial position.

I learned from my banker years ago pay attention to the people walking around in jeans and overalls. Some of them driving around in their beat-up pickups are wealthier than any of the people rolling around in BMWs.

Those high tech cars are only worth buying if you can repair or maintain them yourself or some friend you know. Also important to have a good connection to get parts for a reasonable price. If you go to the dealer for maintenance, you will pay the jack pot.

I think everyone should once in their lifetime try these expensive cars, to learn from their own experience. The problem is when u get obsessed with them even if maturity tells otherwise. When I was young (20+) I used to drive VW and looks and fashion was everything, when I was 35+ I used to own Merc & was swearing to its status despite being a money pit, now I am 45+ and matured, looks, status means little to me than value for money(reliability, dependability) is more important, used Lexus tick all the boxes. There are other important things to focus on as one age, life a holiday house

Well, one can enjoy buying expensive luxury cars if he/she has enough money to maintain them.
Even Lexus auto parts are expensive but it is a very reliable car that hold its high price and don't depreciate that fast. The same thing applies for its manufucter Toyota and Honda as well.
The funny thing is that lot of people who live check to check and wanna show up by buying cars they can't even afford to pay for little issues to fix like: oil change...

There are also trims in non luxury cars that have luxury like options. Luxury cars aren’t the only ones with sun roofs, power seats, seat warmers, leather seats, keyless entry, etc.

Anything luxury is a waste of money. I rather invest and help rather than buy a luxury. I do prefer to buy expensive yet fuel efficient and durable rather than just expensive and nothing else.
