Explain what initially causes DVT to begin

My late wife Chris was diagnosed with it 24 yrs ago. No one could explain what caused it !!! But, they sure did explain how fatal it was to a " very few people"

( 9 out of 10 that present at the ER with a pulmonary embolism end as a fatality ) that, I would say is far from being " very few people"

Chris had ONE massive pulmonary embolism on December 23 rd 2015 in the ER and inspite of high doses of blood thinners, intubation, and CPR, it killed her.

Why is it that something that kills more people annually than AIDS, Breast Cancer and Fatality Auto Accidents COMBINED gets almost no attention at all.

You're a answer that. My kids and I want an answer, we deserve to know
