Why the wood between the jack stands and the cabinet? I just put them right on my third hands and jack it up to my level line, then check the actual box for level.

NO!!! Screw that three-quarter ledger board to the wall! Set the edge of the cabinet on that ledger board!!! Don’t follow the new wage age of doing stupid!
