Показать описание
TON-618 has become a hot topic in the study of black holes in recent years as it sits as the most massive known in the universe. This hyper-luminous quasar shines with the brightness of over 140 trillion of our Sun, and its light and radio emissions have reached us from over 10 billion light years away. Today, we will be taking a look at this beast's profile and analysing the facts, theories and competition, as well as the doubts over the understanding of this abnormal quasar.

As always, the cameraman did a great job of capturing all the black holes and quasars for us to enjoy. Magnificent work, my dude.

It's frightening to think that some, if not most of the things in our night sky are probably really different than what we see due to the absurd distances in space

Perhaps, outside of our Galaxy, the universe has evolved into something completely strange and we're still seeing the echoes of a distant and forgotten passt

Watching these gives me the same problem I had in university cosmology- the sizes, densities, speeds and distances become so great, so unimaginably huge, that it’s tough to keep any sort of model in your mind. There’s just no frame of reference - even the ‘single sand in all the oceans and beaches on earth equal one galaxy’ descriptive phrase is too much. But I still try to comprehend it because understanding the unknown like this is so utterly appealing to many of us. Keep up the awesome videos SEA 👍🏻

The universe needs to stop and take a seat. The awesomeness is just too much to handle.

It's good to come back to this channel a year later and see that it has grown and branched out. It's good to see you again Sea.

This is one of my favourite astronomy, / Astro-physics shows. Accessible and informative; visually impressive, whilst remaining relevant to the topic, instead of irrelevant stock footage. Truly fascinating 👍

I watch a ton of videos on this stuff but your presentation is unsettling in that way that makes me realize my jaw has been hanging open throughout the video. Well done.
