🌟 Comparing the Sizes of the Biggest Black Hole in the Universe (by 2024) (according to calculations) and the members of our Solar System.

📖 A black hole is a region of spacetime where gravity is so strong that nothing, including light or other electromagnetic waves, has enough energy to escape it. The theory of general relativity predicts that a sufficiently compact mass can deform spacetime to form a black hole. The boundary of no escape is called the event horizon. Although it has a great effect on the fate and circumstances of an object crossing it, it has no locally detectable features according to general relativity. In many ways, a black hole acts like an ideal black body, as it reflects no light. Moreover, quantum field theory in curved spacetime predicts that event horizons emit Hawking radiation, with the same spectrum as a black body of a temperature inversely proportional to its mass. This temperature is of the order of billionths of a kelvin for stellar black holes, making it essentially impossible to observe directly.

🌐 We know TON 618 is 66 billion Solar Masses, right? But this mass is not relevant today. Like, we see space objects like they were thousands or billions years ago (depending on how far away the observed object is). Physics cannot “live” separately from time. It means that the data that we now have on hand doesn't correspond to the characteristics at the current moment of existing the black hole (for itself, not for the observer from the Earth!)

🤔 The calculations for determining the real Black Hole mass & size:
▫️ TON 618 is 66 billion SM. It took 10.8 billion years (source: Wiki) for light to travel from TON 618 to Earth, so we see it as it was 10.8B years ago
▫️ Unfortunately, I didn't find any information about black hole's growing rate (or there's still no information about it..? If you find something, say to me!), so let's estimate: 50 SM per year (It’s OK to estimate and guess, based on the information that we have now (Phoenix A*: 60 SM per year), as long as it doesn’t violate the laws of physics and existence).
▫️ Time for some calculations...
🔹 10.8B years × 50 SM = 540B SM
🔹 540B SM + 66B SM = 606B SM
We just found out the max. approximate mass of TON 618! But what about its size?

▫️ To find out the size of any black hole, you need to know this special formula. It works with all types of BHs:
🔹 1 SolarMass Black Hole = 5.8987851596014 km in Diameter
▫️ And so, following not hard calculations, we have:
🔹 606B SM × 5.8987851596014 km ≈ 3.5T km
▶ *TON 618: ≈ 3.5 Trillion km*

⚠ Naturally, all calculations are *VERY approximate.* It's based on the data that humanity has now, it's nearly impossible to accurately determine the current physical characteristics of the black holes, since this is influenced by a huge number of factors: changes in the density of the space environment, matter around, which need to be constantly monitored, changes recorded, etc., and maybe something else...
