HAL is doing too many things under one umbrella like making Aeroplanes, Helicopters, UAVs, Civil Aviation, MRO, Aircraft Engines, Space and many others. They need to focus only on Research, Design, Development and Certification. While Production needs to be handed over to other competent Private firms. It is high time.

It is absolutely necessary that India accepts proposal of rolls Royce for joint development of amca engine with transfer of technology and IPR. The US and general electric will not do the same favour for India. But it is quite surprising why we are delaying in accepting proposal of rolls Royce
