I was a freelance journalist for 22 years and I never went to Journalism School.

I studied English and minored in History in college getting my BA. There was no journalism major at my school .

I learned the bare bone basics of journalism by writing for my HS newspaper for 3 years before graduating .

So I understand these two men completely as regards journalism even though I worked only in print never on TV or broadcast .
