Could not agree more!

Have met plenty of people that have exchanged almost any kind of addiction to cycling addiction, myself included. Had a food addiction problem, now that is under control and I ride my bike so much more. Have three bikes now and I love them all equally.
If you are physically unfit to the level that you think you can't ride a bike, go for a ride anyway. Stick at it and you will find that every journey becomes a little bit easier. Riding a bike is a great way to get more physically active towards a more healthier lifestyle. Even it is just your daily commute.
Admittedly I do still own a car, but that is just for work purposes. My job requires me to own and use a vehicle, but when I am off work, it very rarely gets used.
Cycling saved m y life, got to a point of being morbidly obese, diagnosed with a lung and eye disease. So doctors suggested to me to try to make better life choices. I chose cycling. Now about 5 years later I am 52kgs lighter, my lungs are stronger than ever and I am very close to being able to call myself an endurance cyclist. Three imperial centuries under my belt and planning on a double imperial century later this summer. And I also bike tour on every holiday I get.

Thanks for the inspiration Ryan! Its been a real journey so far and cant wait for the rest of it!

I commuted on a bike for about three years. The main thing I didn't expect was how much it improved my mood. I would arrive to work in a good mood and I had the ride home to look forward to after work. Love it! :-)

It is channels like yours that got me to sell my car a few months ago, and I don’t miss it enough to get another anytime soon. I ride the bus to work and do all my daily errands on a bike. I’m enjoying life more using a bike, so thank you for helping me make the switch.

Reasons to use your bike more often:

1) Good for your Physical and Mental health.
2) Save on Gas Money
3) It slows down the Depreciation of your Vehicle which saves you money.
4) Less Air Pollution.
5) Less Noise Pollution.
6) During Rush Hour you can reach your destination faster by Bike.

I’m going to be 50 soon and I’ve NEVER owned a car and NEVER had a desire to do so for that exact same reason! I’m really glad I’m not alone in the world who feels this way! Thanks for what you do!

A bicycle is the only vehicle that overhauls its own engine.

I used to ride about 5 to 6 thousand miles a year commuting to work. I could eat literally anything I wanted back then and not gain a pound.

You missed one of the best reasons! Many of my friends also commute via bike, and I'll randomly see them while out and about on the roads. We can then ride together and chat, sillily wave to one another, or whatever we feel like. You are so isolated in a car that you can't do that.

I totally 💞💞 riding my bicycle everywhere & riding my bicycle 🚲 to work everyday!! I'm glad I don't have a driver's license before a day in my life!! I'm very happy I have not ever own a car a day in my entire life!! I'm from Chicago Illinois & I'm staying to myself as a bike person!! Ryan Van Duzer you forgot to tell them driver's has to pay to park a car & people also get theirs cars booted & towed!! People get tickets for parking & speed tickets & the craziest part they get their drivers license suspension!! I'm very glad I don't have that problem!!

Ryan I found my wife on the side of the road while riding my bike back in 84 . Was riding from bar harbor to key west and she was broke down on the side of A1A . We are on our 3rd trans am since we met in 84.

I’ve been riding my bike since the 70’s. Cars make me laugh every time I think about it. Car payment, gasoline, insurance, maintenance, then there is parking issues. and the list goes on and on.oh, traffic road rage and traffic jams

To make the transition to giving up my car, I went three months, in the coldest part of the year, without driving my car. I figured, if I could go three months in the winter without driving, I could go all year. Sold my car, and haven’t looked back. That was 8 years ago.

My work commute is 7 miles and I just bought a bike today, I'll start commuting by bike on Monday. I have a bit of a food addiction and have ballooned to almost 280 lbs. This will be great for my health, I can't wait to start!

no lies detected here! I parked my car about one and half year ago, switched to the bike for all things commuting and groceries, bought a trailer to haul the kids around. I'm fitter, happier and more productive, as they say in that song. Love you Ryan, always an inspiration.

Great message. When I retired at 56 I ditched the car and got an e-bike and a lightweight single speed. The single speed is more fun to ride around while the e-bike is my hauling machine.

I actually got a new job closer to home so I can drive way less on purpose. No more 75 mile commute and 2 hours commute time. I now ride my bike to work in 18 minutes it’s so refreshing to have time again for myself.
