When he says that bike lanes are not for walking he is incredibly right. Tourists has no idea how dangerously they are when they walk onto the lane. Or stand there with their trolleys and gets angry because they are told to move away from it.

you should check out " Kids gone wild" about danish forrest kindergartens. The pastries were brought to Denmark by bakers from Wienna. Two other geat videos are " How Denmark took down Mcdonalds" and "Dont mess with Denmark" by Robe trotting. They all give a view of what danes is all about

In Denmark vitamin D is categorized as an anti-depressive, which is why the Danes are among the highest ranked consumers of anti-depressives, so, as it's always the case with statistics, it should be viewed with skepticism. Btw, Geography Now also made a video about the Danish flag, the Danneborg, that is the oldest national flag in the world. Denmark is also the oldest Kingdom in Europe.

US danishes is not Danish.they are actually from Vienna. In Denmark we call them "Viener brød= Wienesebread". In the 1850 bakes striked so the owner brought in bakers from Austria, who brought their own recipes

Wienerbrød's origin is attributed to a strike among Danish bakers in Denmark in 1850. The strike forced the owners of the bakeries to hire labor from other countries, including bakers from Austria.

Great reaction. The Noma restaurant is the only place in DK that you´ll get ants and moss on the menu. It´s not a thing in DK at all. We´re generally a meat and potato country but also fish is very popular and rye bread and our hot dogs are the best. Currently it´s another danish restaurant Geranium that´s voted best in the world.
Yes and no, danishes are from Denmark. Probably danes brought the recipes to the US but originally it´s from Austria. Denmark had a baker´s strike in the 1800s and brought austrian bakers with new recipes to DK that the danes loved and kept making new bread from. Danishes are called Vienna bread in DK.

Fun fact: After the “Whisky War” has ended, Denmark and Canada now share borders on the small island of Hans Ø (Hans Island).

"Ærlighed i de små ting er ingen småting" or as they will say in Afrikaans "Eerlikheid in die klein dingetjies is geen klein ding nie" (Honesty in the small things is no small thing. I love this Danish saying more so because I could almost understand it without translation as I know a little bit of Afrikaans. We learned Afrikaans at school (fifth language speaker of Afrikaans) and I find it fascinating that it has some similarities to the Nordic languages.

Guys thanks a lot for doing this reaction video.
Hope you get the chance to come visit Denmark some day, and if you do, I recommend visiting May-August.
Once you reach Europe, you will see how easy it is traveling around the continent and explore more countries, all unique and different.

Cheers from Denmark 🇩🇰✌️

I'm Since the WW1 and WW2 (Denmark was occupired by the germans in WW2 for 5 - 6 years). Since then the sirens have sound in Denmark one time of the year. If U want to know about our history and Culture.... U cut give Rick Steves with Copenhagen and Denmark beyond Copenhagen a chance. He explain it good.... I also know there is 2 Americans - who moved to Denmark, who speak about: Traditions and culture, like the Royalty... Our holidays and a lot more. I have been travel around my country... Love it. The danish is simulary to our neighbors: Norway and Sweden.... We understand each others language, almost same traditions.... etc.

Danes generally don't understand Icelandic people... unless they speak Danish or English, which most of them are able to. They learn both in school.

Copenhagen has become one of the food capitals of the world. Outside our the traditional Danish foods we have a top 10 pizza restaurant in the world, one of the best burgers in the world and the best restaurant of the past decade. Organic and local products.

Pork is a big thing here. We grow 30 million pigs per year, and are the largest exporters of pig meat, in the world.
Dairy products are also big here. We got lots of cows. Our dairy products are famous all over the world. Especially Japan is crazy about Danish food products.

I don't if you know, that we also produce the best pigs and bacon in Denmark. We have got over 10 million pigs (almost 11 million) and we sell them to Japan, China, UK, Germany as living pigs

There are a few channels on YouTube about Americans living in Denmark. Some of which are getting into the pastries, which you call "Danishes" and no, they aren't from Denmark. We have a huge variety of them in Denmark, but they don't origin from here. In Denmark we call the pastries "Wienerbrød" (Viennese bread; Bread from Vienna, in Austria). Robe Trotting is one channel, I would recommend you to check out
