RTX 3070 in 2024.. Still Worth it?

So, you've been planning to upgrade your Graphics Card but you only have $300 budget. With all the products out in the market, you want to make sure that what you're getting is the best GPU for $300. So in this video, we picked Nvidia's old 70 series card, the RTX 3070 8GB, which is supposedly faster than the RTX 4060 and RX 6700 XT. Let's see if this GPU can hold on its own in competitive shooters like Warzone, Apex Legends, Fortnite, Valorant, PUBG and The Finals!!

I have 3070 ti for 3 years and gaming on ultrawide 1440p monitor. Still runs good almost every game i launch. When 5000 series comes out, probably will get 4080 super

RTX 3070 is good for games without DLSS, imagine popular games like fortnite have DLSS 3.5 it would dominate 4060 ti.

I'm happy enough with my 3070 for now, however enabling any signature UE5 features in certain games and any Ray-tracing makes this 8gb card Very uncomfortable. So yeah there's that. For anything else, and especially for e sports and any pre 2023 titles it's still quite a thing.

The lack of vram makes huge differences in modern games.
games like cities skyline 2 or any game running with unity engine or unreal engine 5 is pain to run for this gpu.

rtx 3070 and rx 6700 xt has roughly the same price in my country. Which one should i get? i know that 3070 is a little bit faster but the 12 gb vram of 6700 xt is kinda tempting

I have the 3070 since COVID so.. about 4 years, and it seems it's still a winner.
If the 4000 series is so close to the 3000 series, why number difference?
Seems a 4070 is better than a 3070 but a 3070 is better than a 4060.
Why not just name it 4065, so people can be more clear?

3070 is still great for me at 1440. "But you can't run re4 or last of us remake!" Ill just play the originals if I want. State of modern AAA is very sad that remakes are the best they have.

*Great video, I would myself go with a 6700XT in that price range even though it's slightly slower than the 3070, I think newer games will start to utilise more than 8GB VRAM so the extra 4GB should hopefully be more stable, but all depends on the games played and settings used etc.*
