Nintendo magazines would often have circular cut outs of your favorite nintendo characters and logos, and some issues would contain a plastic insert so you could display the image on your console. Every issue I got I'd sit there with the scissors waiting to see what inserts were waiting for me haha

Mine does. It's an older black model. I know it's an older one because it has the digital out port. Some of the newer versions omitted the digital out port.

The older versions do mine does...it was a style choice thingie.. there were circles with different themes going around so you could give more personality to your GC...or make sure none steals your machine and present it as their own haha...oh man i miss those days so much!

Originally the GameCube was designed to have custom face plates and they were officially made. The same models that have the removable faceplate also had the component cable port.

GameCube used to sell face plates for your system. I never saw one but I always knew about them. It’s just so you can replace the original with whatever face you bought with a theme on it.
