I love the way he described how Jesus saved us- when he pulled the man out of the water It took all of His strenght to save him- It took ONE WHOLE GOD to save us- That´s how sinful we are! That´s how precious we are! God couldn´t send anyone else and Jesus knew it so He went himself! WHAT A GOD! There´s nobody like Him! Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world! Be sure to fear the Lord and serve Him faithfully with all your heart- consider what great things He has done FOR YOU!

I want what I have for others. The Joy of JESUS in my soul, smiling through my tears in life. It makes me crazy hearing my family quote the BIBLE to allow themselves to do what's right in their own eyes. No, I am not perfect. I too sin. But I struggle against it constantly with the HOLY SPIRIT'S help. I watch them also be blessed and sin with my thoughts about its fairness. Forgive me JESUS and help me to understand that they aren't being blessed the same way I am with discernment and JOY. Please GOD continue to help me in my daily struggle, and let me see the blessing that I am receiving is far greater than any other. Dee in Los Angeles, your soldier.

wow this message was for me I struggle with giving myself completely to God I have for a while now. I seem to want God and want the world but I can't have both it's not easy giving up the cares of this world but I know with God all things are possible.

I don't want to ever love anything more than God.. but I feel at times I do. I struggle with sin and it makes me want to cry.. I've been so sad lately. I've been praying but I feel like God may not be listening to me anymore. I want to be a theologian and a female preacher (not pastor). I'm just scared.. I love God and I want to go to heaven in the end..

AMAZING! I have been loving and enjoying the content from Desiring God for quite some time now and so have listened to many many clips. But this was the first one where I felt that I just HAD to go to the website to hear the rest.

I have always struggled with the concept of predestination as it made me sad for non believers. This is the first time that I’ve seen the beauty in it and am just so so thankful that God “CALLED” me. There are so many non Christian people who seem to live a more blameless life than I do, so I am really humbled to be a co heir with Christ. A statement that I think deserved a LOT more celebration and wonder.

Thanks again. I’m in Australia now, and Covid still has the world locked up. But I can’t wait to have the day to meet you guys in person and give everyone a hug!

This is so true when you think about it, it is so easy to say "> I had < the faith..." which right here makes it all about something YOU did and not a gift that God gave you. Believe me I don't claim to understand for a single second HOW man's requirement to repent and have faith and believe and God's total sovereignty over that action are inseparable. But I know they are.

+Scott Carter..thank you so much for your concern. I was born into a church that was founded by men and it hurt me very badly. I have found listening to Jesus..Alone..has been the best way for me. Jesus Helped me read the bible..so I stay very close to the verses He Gives me. I am careful to never wander into men's opinions..again. Jesus said.."Obey My Sayings and Seek ME for your Provision." I am very careful to do just that.

+Mark S. I read the entire bible with Jesus Help. He Helped me know the verses that were significant for me. I marked those verses and I re-read them sometimes.. But staying close to Jesus through prayer is the Most Important thing.
