Realistically he wouldn't be able to walk around in the city like that because of the fact that cities are the most populated areas and would allows the infection to spread faster thus resulting in thousands of zombies roaming the city

I recommend watching both this movie 28 days later and its prequel 28 weeks later. Both are essentially drama and horror movies which is centered around the "rage virus" that starts in Great Britain after PETA animal activits release an ape infected with the virus. It then starts infecting and killing most of the populating of Great Britain in just 28 days (hence the name of the first movie). The rage virus turns people very quickly from just 4 to 20 seconds and turns them in a state of uncontrollable rage. So they aren't technically zombies per say as they are still alive and dead people don't come back as them. The infected maul people to death, have blood red eyes, vomit blood, can sprint, and are relatively intelligent. This is just a small background, I recommend watching as they are both great and have a more 'realistic' feel to it then some other zombies movies. It is also set in England so may be a more refreshing change to the American type cities/countryside which zombie movies usually have

Actually, the virus in 28 days later is not considered a “zombie” movie and it’s not a zombie virus. Because the hosts are still perfectly alive (zombie is undead) (The director and screenwriter confirmed it)
