I pay $600 a year with full coverage on a 2022 trailblazer (WV)... what y'all are talking about seems alien to me

Your video completely ignored the impact that all the personal injury attorneys that now infest Florida have on skyrocketing auto insurance rates. With their idiotic grinning faces leering from billboards and televisions everywhere in the state bragging about how much money they "won" for their clients, they have firmly established the belief among the hordes of people here with little intelligence and even less scruples, that ANY auto accident, even just a fender bender in a parking lot, regardless of how minor the impact and regardless of whether there was ANY injury, should result in a payoff. The attorneys will send the client to their "doctors" who will always find something wrong with them even with NO objective findings, a "soft tissue injury" for which they will prescribe weeks, or months, of physical therapy. Then when the attorney is done inflating the specials, he/she will present a demand to the insurance company who will almost NEVER litigate but will instead end up settling, resulting in a payment to the "injured" party. The attorney will collect their fee from the payment, the client gets whats left. Enrichment NOT compensation. Multiply that times the thousands of minor fender bender accidents that occur every day out of every year in this state and is it any wonder Florida now is #1 in car insurance rates. Do the insurance companies care? Hell no, they just increase everyone's premium to pay for it. Do the legislators care? Hell no, the personal injury attorneys lobby probably helped them get elected. The only way this is ever going to get better is for the law to be changed to require the losing side, whether defendant OR plaintiff, in a litigated case to have to pay the attorneys fees for the other side. Then, MAYBE, the insurance companies may grow a pair and start litigating these bogus claims instead of just settling them like they do now. But that will probably never happen as the injury attorneys will do their usual shrieking about how it will result in all these "injured" people being denied their "compensation". So look forward to ever increasing car insurance rates and years more of that fat turd bragging about being the largest personal injury law firm "in the universe".
