A super C RV version of the semi would revolutionize the recreational vehicle industry 🧐

why megachargers, just put 2 or 3 power inlets on a vehicle

Will they "g tag" the trucks to the specific chargers to show where it is in the country

So, this was basically a Tesla commercial. But they're not trying to sell to truckers. Else they'd actually tell us the trucks gross weight.

Nah, pepsi is getting 450 miles tops out of their trucks. I've logged 650 mile days in the Northeast including NY, jersey, CT and Massachusetts. These things are a joke until they can legitimately run 1000 miles loaded heavy on a single charge and recharge in 15 minutes. No chance we have the infrastructure for millions of cars yet alone millions of trucks.

To listen to you talk one would think Tesla is the only player in the electric truck game. NOT.
Peterbilt new 579EV simi is for sale as is MACK trucks MD electric. IH has just introduced a EV simi for sale and NIKOLA reports it has delivered into customers hands over 100 of their BEV simi trucks. Catapillar has new EV heavy equipment. John Deere too. Actually, Teslas simi is kinda bringing up the rear while all these trucks are on the road hauling freight, Tesla is still working out the bugs.

3:11 "such a heavy load" yet one of the rear axles on the trailer is lifted, showing a very light load, if not empty. Im a Tesla fan but that image was timed bad with the wording lol

Can Tesla build me a RV Fifth Wheel hauling Truck similar to an FreightLiner M2-106 for less than 100K with a range of 500 miles and able to be charged on an RV Park lot of 50 and or 30 amps power supply? I know I would buy it in a heartbeat!

Being a former truck driver I do have experience behind the wheel of rig if Tesla really wants to shock everyone beyond belief they need to set up the road trains like they have in Australia I suggest running the I-80 corridor along with the I-10 corridor and I do mean Coast to Coast this is where there's as many as four full-length trailers in one unit and put a third drive axle on the system that way the driver never has to deal with sliding a fifth wheel to compensate along with that make the airlines part of the fifth wheel that way you won't have the dot determined to give you a ticket and bothering to fold your Airlines saying ooh you got a defective Airline been there done that on a truck that I just got out from the dealership I had less than a thousand miles on it and I was getting a ticket for a defective Airline and I checked it my last fuel up I actually watched the officer do it and then he turned around and saw me and goes you got to go wait in the office then you got to be worried about Oklahoma on the main thing coming into Oklahoma on I-40 they love flipping on the scale on and off and ticketing you if you don't catch them flipping the light on

ROBOTRUCK, soon. No driver. Endless lines of robotics, with occasional robots leaving this line of non stop robotic trains.
These then are synchronized to match traffic and traffic lights to never come to any complete stoppages.

Occasionally here will be mobile charging banks added to the line of robots. These mobile charging banks will recharge to moving trucks as they travel.

I work for one of the companies that bought a bunch of these Tesla semis. They're all broke down all the time. And the screens go out and you also cannot flat tow them... Also, how much overtime is the coal and natural gas plant Gonna have the pump out All that extra electricity to charge the trucks

99.9999 percent of the United States isn't in Southern California. 99.9999 percent of the United States in the winter isn't dry and sunny. 3 delivers, what was the payload, how much weight. How many "support" vehicles followed the rig. Temporarily charging stations. Problematical at best. I'm not trying to be argumentative or negative. I'm a heavy truck driver, 30 plus years experience. My wife and family depend on my paychecks, no excuses. It's kinda funny. They like to eat daily. I get paid by the mile, tires have to roll. No excuses. 1600 miles, depend on how long it takes to recharge, on the 3 stops, that's getting better. You need to start doing real tests, how's this truck going to handle western Nebraska, Wyoming, Utah, Nevada in the winter when it's below zero, roads are icey and your headed into a 30 miles pee hour wind. How does it handle Donner, Cabbage, or a dozen other places in the winter with full chains on. Normal winter driving conditions. The charging stations, there availability, robustness, not just now, 1 year, 5, 10, 20 years from now, issuse need to be completely honestly addressed in the real world.

It is stupid to have the steering wheel in the middle, if you get stopped by the cops there is no longer stay in your seat because you have to open the door for the cops. It’s the only way to hear them.

Yes but saying it did it and not having a Time dash cam showing it did it it's going to be okay it's more advertisement when you document it for the public to see the full documentation not just a glimpse that's where you're shorting the Tesla trucks very short by not showing not just 10 seconds of a photo it's like looking at SpaceX and I keep saying they need to fire the cameraman I was a form of rejectionist when I was in high school working the theaters and they lose the point of third person spectator it's like when they set up a probe for photographing a landing the first thing it should be deployed is the probe not the Lander but make it a full 360 probe instead of it looking like a back of a soundstage like you'd see in Hollywood if you want to take after Hollywood and lose money go for it showing just segments just shows how lazy the person is trying to say something's being done while they're doing nothing themselves but making everything look like a theater stage from a camera point of view that's bad as me running into the NASA rover down a White Sands and the guys on what NASA they were so lazy they didn't just say that oh we're working on the the Rover they let it run around there and they said it was live on Mars shame on you NASA Tesla don't be like NASA that's just how lazy they are

It really isn't pushing the boundaries of Trucking much. Total Semi's built ever is under 50. Range claims are fake. On Youtube you can find a Rivian RT driven by real people towing a trailered mustange across the country. They only got 120 miles per charge and the RT has more power per ton towing the mustang than a fully loaded Tesla Semi has. It is simply lying to claim the Semi will go 4 times as far under fully loaded condtions over the same terrain - oh sure a start going down hill from a mile high mountain pass might help. In summary, You can buy two diesel trucks that haul 2.5x the load, not having to stop every 100 miles to charge; on a charger that costs $200, 000. Oh diesel doesn't catch fire while a Semi has as much battery as 12 Model Ys which if caught on fire would burn for days. Sounds like they sure are pushing the boundaries.
