It's time for another GMG Review! Today I'm sitting down with the General's Handbook (2019) which is brimming with new rules for Pitched Battles, new requirements for Terrain in your games, a code of Ettiquette and at last the official Tournament rules for Age of Sigmar Official Championship and Grand Tournament Events.

My group has already been using many of those principles during our MESBG tourneys. They have greatly improved the overall experience by limiting the more toxic aspects of competition.

The Sons of the Lichemaster is a total reference to the legendary scenario pack Shadow of the Lichemaster of the WHFB 2nd edition: the necromancer is the "scion" of Kemmler the Lichemaster, the zombies is the Mikeal Jacksen regiment and the Skeleton is the regiment of Ranlac (if i remember well...).

Thank you GW for this Nostalgia, it's always welcome <3

Seraphon can get 16+D3 summoning points a turn with cogs and balewind vortex. They get to summon massive amounts of stuff because the units they summon are pretty garbage.

Great video as usual!

Have you tried using a polarising filter on your camera? It kills reflections from surfaces. Might work and you won't have to give the disclaimer any more :p

An Azyrite Ruin is a terrain feature consisting of a
single Azyrite Ruin model.

The undead merc unit was the Doomed Legion, lead by Krell, a former Champion of Chaos who went to play for Death after, well, dying and being reanimated by the Lichemaster.

Yeah, those terrain rules are already out the door in my area. "That is stupid, no one is doing that." That is when you know you made a bad rule.

Pre-2019: Hey guys! Buy this terrain that you can use for free!

2019: Now that you bought that terrain, piss up a rope!

I think the Code of Conduct is a reprint of a White Dwarf article written by Jervis Johnson published earlier this year.

Sweet my Giants barley yeast and hops are now going to be able to be on the field. They haven't seen action since End Times. (Where barley has a sack filled with enemy heroes)

Brilliant review, though 20:47 means that gnawholes are illegal to use now as they could only be set up within 6 inches of the board edge. I imagine a few Skeven players being a little irate after that unless they fix that with a FAQ.

man those Ironjawz changes are amazing, just getting the Jump spell is so useful, the Super battalion are all cheaper and stronger, mighty destroyer feels like a bit of a nerf since you need a CP but at least it guarantees now.

Great review! I personally think the terrain rules are dumb. I really hate them, and I do not at all plan to use them.

" Age of Sigmar Official Championshit and Grand Tournament Events."  Hilarious typo in the description there.  Might want to fix that.  :)  Good review, didn't expect to see such a thourough look at this so soon.

Hmm. Those principle chapter They are very similar to workplace rules (You mentioned about Gw shops behavior rules). Personally I don't think going toward professionalization is a way to have fun. Whole AoS moved from freestyle play in the beginning to almost competition play exclusive game right now. Just my 5 cents.

The Azyrite ruins warscroll says:

You can farm more summoning poins with Seraphon. Use Old Kroak (he has 4 spells) + Balewind Vortex (+1 spell) + Chronomatic Cogs (+1 spell) so that's 18 summoning points, + d3 from the banner, and whatever else. It's pretty gross

You were so excited about the dispossed allegiance. Unless some of the artifacts/command traits are different then they are the same as in 2018. Its the same for some (or all for all i know) of the other 8th Ed leftovers.

Great Review! Keep up the good work! ^^
Dispossessed and Darklings are just copy and paste from the last GHB, aren‘t they?
