By placing yourself on the point when the enemy team is absent it forces them to choose between continuing whatever engagement they have at that time or to drop everything and try to stop you.

In the first scenario they might win the engagement but lose the point, and on the second one they might end up killing you but it risks having them get shredded by your teammates in the confusion.

There's actually a very powerful combo you can use with Scout; dousing someone with mad milk then making them bleed with the wrap assassin will allow you to get constant regeneration from the bleed.
