I have a 1979 El Camino (project car) that shops want to remove the rear window or do it in two pieces because of the extreme curves. Any advice???

A mixture of distilled H20, clear vegetable glycerin and isopropyl alchohol would be a better choice than soap. Window film adhesive is activated with H20. Glycerin lubricates. Isopropyl alcohol cleans and dries. It will emulsify the glycerin and H20 also.
