Tolles Video Johannes! :) My Question: I ran into similar problems with those typical low end "Horns" often used in melodic techno after a drop (I hope you know what I am referring to). I use a kick and an arp bass. I only sidechain the lowend of the arp bass. I tried the following options, but I am not satisfied with them. Option 1) Arp bass is off when the "horn" hits (but then i loose the groove of the arpbass) Option 2) lowcut on the horn (but then it loses sustain because all low end comes from the arp bass) Option 3) sidechain the lowend of the horn to the low end of the arpbass (kind of works, but to avoid clipping the sidechain has to be so agressive, that it sounds basically as if I had a lowcut on the "horn"). Do you have any tipps? Or is the problem the balancing? It feels very difficult to mix this.
