I'd also add the caveat that extreme diets (to either take your body fat % really low or to make you bulk really fast) are another thing to avoid for health reason

I would say the separation needs to be made between sports and fitness. Fitness is the pursuit of peak health, so you can't have unhealthy fitness, it's an oxymoron. Activities that pursue unhealthy levels of extremes are not fitness, that's sports, and sports can definitely be unhealthy when pushed too far.. Bodybuilding, powerlifting, et cetera, are sports, not fitness.

I violently flip back and fourth between aesthetics and longevity lmao

The definition of fitness is "the condition of being physically fit and healthy." This entire video makes no sense because you don't know understand what being "fit" means.

Bodybuilding is not fitness, it's bodybuilding. Specifically aiming for maximal hypertrophy which is not good for the heart. There is NO world where fitness isn't NOT always about health.

just dont dirty bulk because bodyfat % over abt 15-20 will cause some hormonal issues, and we all know the complications with having very low body fat

This is my main gripe with modern bodybuilding. Steeve Reeves from the silver era always talked about bodybuilding for health first. I have always agreed with his message

I train for performance. Not for health, aesthetics or fitness

if you're not training for health then you're not training for fitness, fit literally means fit for survival, like being healthier due to a better heart, bone density etc. i agree with the point but not with the terminology

Obviously exercise is good, but long term effects on your body especially on your back can stack up over the course of years of weight lifting. I’ve seen very few weight lifters without back problems at the age of 50. Take care out there yall

And THIS is EXACTLY why Athletic bodybuilding x athletic training > bodybuilding

Weightlifting isn’t fitness, it roughly covers one component of fitness, strength. Actually fitness will only improve your health

hitting RPE10 with powerlifting is definitely detrimental. high risk of injuries, tendon pain, muscle tightness, bad knees, wrist pain. whereas hitting RPE9 would be far healthier (although the big boy gains are at RPE10).

What are some examples of the difference between fitness and health training? I guess I always kind of associated them with one another
