I’m so pleased buying in bulk is helping your family Cheryl, every little bit helps. We buy kitchen roll from Costco every 3 months and it lasts us. Toilet roll four packs of 18rolls from farmfoods £15, soap powder from farmfoods too & its £20 for two huge boxes and obviously the rice which I told you about … Thank you for the shoutout, you really didn’t need to. Also with farmfoods they post a leaflet through our door with money off vouchers, sometimes I forget to take them, but one of the staff members told me to go onto their webpage and insert my email address and they will email you a copy of the vouchers every month. It’s so handy, when it comes to paying, you just show them the voucher code and they’ll input it into the till 💕

Love this video, very helpful thankyou. I have started bulk buying from our local Costco which as someone that lives rurally saves money on fuel and food. I work term time and do a shop every half term from Home Bargains and Costco which is about a 50 minutes drive in total but saves me a fortune as local shops are so expensive for me.

Great tips, thanks 🙂 Agree about the capsule wardrobe for the kids, now a mum of 3 and it’s deffo a big spend in the budget but same as you and find having a whole outfit is mind easier. Kids and I both tend to gravitate towards grabbing an outfit out the wardrobe than trying to find stuff to go together. Deffo my new game plan going forward! H&M is also great for girls with their £2.99 dresses, bargain lol 😁

Meal/menu planning saves me a lot of money. I put together 14-28 meals we like for each mealtime. Just beginning, start with 7 of each. I have different price levels of cost. All meals are nutritious. Then I take the recipes and write/type out the ingredients. Next, I buy extra when prices are low.

In America, that can mean combining a sale with coupons and rebates. Doing this I can get a years worth of pasta for free to $.15lb. Canned/tin tomatoes for $.30lb. I keep a price book so I know what the lowest price is. By doing for most or all ingredients my costs dropped about 75%.

I look for ways to save energy while cooking. Instead of canned/tin beans I buy dry and soak them then cook them in a slow cooker. The beans not used for that meal are put in containers and used later that week or put in the freezer. To cook pasta, bring water to a boil, put in pasta, bring back to a boil, stir, replace lid and turn off heat. The residual heat and boiling water will finish cooking the pasta, at least once pull the lid and stir quickly, then replace lid.

I am an ophthalmologist and eye care specialist. I would not recommend buying glasses only. 99% of the online shops are not making your glasses correctly. Yes, there are cheaper, but just because of bad quality.
