World's TALLEST Water Slide Tower! NEW Icon Tower at Meryal Water Park | All Slides POV

This is the Icon Tower at Meryal Water Park (حديقة مريال المائية) in Lusail on the outskirts of Doha, Qatar. The Icon Tower is by far the most insane water slide complex ever built. Being 85 m or 279ft tall, the tower is located on a small artificial island (RIG 1938) a few hundred feet away from the land portion of the water park. The island is connected to the other side of the water park by a causeway. There are several golf carts transferring the guests to RIG 1938 and back as the train which is supposed to operate between the two areas was not in operation when we visited the park in March 2024. Once guests arrive at the ICON TOWER, staff members will instruct them how to get to the slides. There are four elevators available (three of which were not in operation yet), the stairs are for emergency use only. Currently, the elevator is only operating between ground level and the fourth floor which means you have to take the stairs from there. These are the slides that can be found here:

💦 LEVEL 6 is home to the world's tallest water slides. The height difference between the start and the runout lane is 76.35 m (250.5ft). While Vertigo is fitted with a trapdoor, The Fractionator features a regular start tub. The latter is also world's longest body slide. Insane! Back protectors are optional on both slides, however, do yourself a favor and USE THEM on Vertigo.

💦 LEVEL 5 has the longest inner tube slides at the tower. Both slides are interrupted by the same Lazy River on level three, giving riders the opportunity to change to the other slide. Despite being able to exit the elevator on level three, it is not permitted to enter the slides at this point - you have to enter on level five. The slides following the Lazy River are both water coasters, however, the blue side is much more thrilling as it features more ascents and even a Boomerango quarterpipe at the end.

💦 LEVEL 4 features two giant family raft rides. The Boiler was our favorite slide at Icon Tower as it features a giant Abyss funnel with elaborate projections inside, making for a one-of-a-kind experience. Reformer is much more tame - the ride features a sphere-shaped funnel as well as several Constrictor turns. Just as the tube slides on level five, both rides eventually end in a Lazy River where guests can choose between two different paths. The left path will lead into another Abyss Funnel which is pretty intense. The right one features two smaller funnels.

💦 LEVEL 2 is home to the smallest slides of the tower. The two inner tube slides are fitted with interactive screens by iSlide, allowing riders to choose a theme before riding. There are several water curtains with projections inside the slide which are influenced by the choice. Meryal Water Park has a much better interactive slide at the land portion of the park so these slides were a little underwhelming. Both slides are pretty fast though.

ICON TOWER certainly is the best and most crazy slide complex we have ever experienced. While the two tallest slides are pretty rough, most of the other slides are really great. The whole structure is so insane that you cannot believe it actually exists until you see it with your own eyes!

Except for the body slides, a minimum of two riders is required for the ICON TOWER slides.
