i remember a time i ate a bunch of mushrooms and started having a scary trip. every embarrassing thing, every wrong i committed, every person i hurt, every time a person hurt me just kept repeating in my mind over and over. there was nothing fun and giggly about it. i couldn’t stop thinking specifically about depressing and regretful memories. in my head i told myself i just want to die because i can’t handle this and i don’t know if i can even forget these things when im not high anymore. i think this is part of hell. every mistake just rubbed in your face for eternity.
God separates you from your sins. in hell, you ARE your sins. scary stuff, fire or not.

Hell is existence without God. Without God there is only pain, suffering, regret, hate, heartache, and misery. Literally the worst possible place and feeling you can have is to be without God.

I love Cliffe’s wisdom and teaching, but I don’t agree that hell is a metaphor and not every thing in the Bible is a metaphor. The Bible is very clear with its description of hell.

As someone who died once. This is very accurate. Without God it's just dark. It's nothing. You are just there in the dark. I was fortunate to come back and it's sad that it took that to realize that I needed God. I woke up and I knew there was more to it.

I was in the craft for 13 almost 14 years. I had grown up a Christian and loved God for as long as I could remember. I loved Jesus throughout my years in the craft and refused to let that love go. I still talked to him and prayed to him. One afternoon sitting on the bed I saw fire appear on the wall with the name Anaiel. The floor next to me opened and I saw smoke and flames as a loud voice said, "turn around now before it's too late." It was very real and I was wide awake. No, I do not have any mental problems, don't drink and don't do drugs. That was five years before I quit the craft, repented and ran back to Jesus. ❤

My hubby is a firefighter and in our city they go inside. He explained to our church group how there IS complete darkness in fire. To a person who has never experienced it, it seems impossible, but to hear him describe the scene silenced the room.
