Over the past week, we drove through Connecticut and Rhode Island, to finally reach Massachusetts! The weather is down in the 70s, and van life is only getting better. We are driving into a New England autumn, and we kicked it off with, one, decorating the van with a tiny pumpkin, and two, having far too much fun picking apples at a local orchard. The evening fires and cozy dinners are only getting started, and we are SO ready to splurge on a New England seafood feast. Thank you so much for following along on our road trip adventure; we love sharing the little things we do each day with you all.

Claire, if it makes you feel any better, I did the same thing last week with sour cream, and lost maybe a 1/3rd of the container...fortunately my housemate didn't see it or I would have gotten a "stern lecture on waste" lol There is something nice about black and white pictures...I used to shoot a lot of it in college and back when I had my own darkroom. Now everything is digital, black and white film particularly is now "artsy". I think it's been almost 20 years since I shot a roll of "film"... my first digital camera was a cheap Olympus that I pulled out of the trash at a music festival that someone was trying to smuggle it in, security caught it, the guy didn't want to walk back to his car and stand in line so he tossed it...I grabbed it lost my space as I walked back to my car, but still "heard the music" and found a new toy...upgraded a few times to a nicer DLSR. I wish you added a shot of the church/light house in mystic...you got me curious when you were talking about it. Almost done with my new galley. The base is installed in the van, but the counter top needs some time with a sander to shape it to fit against the side of the van(because everything is curved and not square lol) Need to still secure the water tank in place(and test it to see if it leaks) Slow going but when I get the couch done my bike will fit inside the van when I travel...or so that is my plan LOL Happy Travels and stay Safe!
