In this video, we’re going to talk about the 5 reasons why you may need to increase your salt intake.

Everyone is focused on having low sodium products and they’re afraid of having too much salt, but no one thinks about a salt deficiency. There are a lot of serious salt deficiency symptoms, and more people need to be aware of this issue.

Why you need more salt:

1. Low adrenals
2. Excessive water
3. Sweating excessively
4. Keto
5. Lots of potassium

When increasing your salt intake, always choose sea salt instead of table salt. The best kind of sea salt to consume is Himalayan sea salt. If you’re on the keto diet, you need to take at least 1 teaspoon of sea salt a day.

I suffered from my heart and many symptoms like I couldn’t sleep and stress doctors couldn’t identify my problem they told me you have blood pressure with hypokinesia in heart they gave many of drugs but never became ok until I remember that dr berg was talking about salt deficiency then I discovered that my wife didn’t put salt in my food and salad to protect me from high blood pressure but the result was the opposite, after I took some hymalaya salt I became ok within 30 minutes, a little quantity of salt is very important, thank dr berg for saving my life again ❤️

I take my salt with me everywhere, it actually brought my blood pressure down. I get frustrated when my friends tell me I’m using too much salt on my salad with straight vinegar and olive oil, and they are eating some chemically enhanced dressing.

My cardiologist told me "i thought I'd never tell anyone to do this but please I need you to eat salt". My BP was low, heart palpitations and I wouldn't sweat during strenuous workouts. The went in to look at heart with camera and ran test. All are normal now.. Right on Doc...

Started eating more salt today! My blood pressure has run low all my adult life and no doctor had a reason for that. Maybe 2 in 40 years have told me to eat more salt, but I was also told that wasn’t good for me at times. You are the first medical person to explain this and why I am convinced I am low in salt.💛

Thought the blood pressure might be low as my hands are usually cold. Started having a pinch of salt in the porridge and seems to help. Super video thank you

I‘m so glad you brought up the water consumption. These stupid influencers always push young people to drink tons of water to get „clear“ skin🤦🏽‍♀️

Salt is so important to health, yet like cholesterol it is seen as bad by the majority of people. The "salt myth" is similar to the "cholesterol myth" unfortunately after many decades they still continue!
However, I always to stick to good quality sea salts.

Excellent content Dr.Berg. Took me some time to find my balance of salt when I started Keto, such a difference when I did though.

More salt ended my leg cramps. These were getting more common and more painful, especially in the middle of the night for no reason I could figure out. Just waking me up screaming in pain until I learned to stomp my heel on the floor which help them go away. But they're a non factor in my life not that I increased my salt intake. Pink Himalayan salt to be specific.
